Today is an auspicious day for Nirankari Mission. On April 24, 1980, Baba Gurubachan Singh Ji Maharaj, a great worshiper of Mahanubhava, surrendered his life to the assassins. who tried to divide mankind. On this day, Nirankari Missions around the world remember him with reverence every year.
Nirankari Mission observes the day as 'Human Unity Day' by donating blood to all the great men who have dedicated themselves to this mission. This day is observed with due dignity in Burdwan along with the whole world. Blood donation activities are organized at Sant Nirankari Satsang Bhavan as well as spiritual congregation and Brahmo Bhoja.
Mahatma Nimai Chand Shau was present at Monday's grand function. He is the one who gave the blessing on spiritual awareness in the Gurugadi congregation of Satsangat today. Spokespersons of the Mission's Burdwan branch, Ratan Kumar Sau and Mangal Pandit, and Mission's Press Representative Devkinandan Kar were present.
A total blood donation of 152 units of blood was collected in the blood donation camp organized by Sant Nirankari Charitable Foundation. Among them 103 men and 49 women donated blood. Mission Press Representative Devkinandan Kar said Baba Guru Bachan Singh Ji freed human life from all forms of illusion. Realizing him all the devotees got a new positive direction by next Satguru Baba Hardeb Singh Ji's inspirational message that "Blood should flow in veins and not in drains". Every Nirankari devotee is adopting the same inspirational message in their life for the welfare of humanity. Sant Nirankari Charitable Foundation organized a Voluntary Blood Donation Camp in Sant Nirankari Satsang Bhavan area at Lakshipur Mat Benfed Lane in Burdwan 24 April as per Guru's instructions.
Blood donation camps are being organized at more than 490 locations across India on April 24 and throughout the year with a target of collecting 50,000 units of blood. This day this blood donation camp is being held in Burdwan and Kulti branches. He said that a total of 1510 units of blood donation has been arranged in the remaining parts of Burdwan zone, namely Purulia, Bankura, Burdwan, Birbhum, Murshidabad, Malda, North and South Dinajpur districts. Blood donation camps are held on this day every year. This blood donation camp is held not only in Burdwan district but all over the world.
