বেঙ্গল টাইমস নিউজ : সর্বভারতীয় সাংবাদিক সংগঠন ইণ্ডিয়ান জার্নালিস্টস ইউনিয়ন এর সেক্রেটারি জেনারেল নির্বাচিত হয়েছেন পশ্চিমবঙ্গ থেকে বিশিষ্ট সাংবাদিক এস সাবানায়কান। ইণ্ডিয়ান জার্নালিস্টস অ্যাসোসিয়েশনের শতবর্ষে এটাই সব থেকে বড় প্রাপ্তি এবং গর্বের বিষয়। উল্লেখ্য শ্রী সাবানায়কন ভারতের প্রাচীনতম সাংবাদিক সংগঠন ইণ্ডিয়ান জার্নালিস্টস অ্যাসোসিয়েশনের বর্তমান সভাপতি। ৮ থেকে ১০ জানুয়ারি হায়দ্রাবাদের পাঠানচেরু শিল্প শহরের জিএমআর কনভেনশন সেন্টারে অনুষ্ঠিত হয় আইজেইউ'র দশম সর্বভারতীয় সম্মেলন। তেলেঙ্গানা ইউনিয়ন অফ ওয়ার্কিং জার্নালিস্ট এই সম্মেলনের আয়োজন করে। উদ্বোধন পর্বে উপস্থিত ছিলেন তেলেঙ্গানা সরকারের স্বরাষ্ট্র মন্ত্রী মহঃ মেহমুদ আলি, তেলেঙ্গানা স্টেট মিডিয়া অ্যাকাডেমীর চেয়ারম্যান আল্লম নারায়ন, তেলেঙ্গানা ইউনিয়ন অফ ওয়ার্কিং জার্নালিস্ট এর জেনারেল সেক্রেটারি মারুতি সাগর, আই জে ইউ'র বর্ষিয়ান নেতা সুরেশ আকুরি, বিশিষ্ট সাংবাদিক হাবিব খান, সাবিনা ইন্দ্রজিৎ সহ অন্যান্য নেতৃবৃন্দ।
সম্মেলনে সামগ্রিক ব্যাবস্থপনা প্রশংসার দাবি রাখে। সর্বভারতীয় সাংবাদিক সংগঠন আইজেইউ'র এই সম্মেলনে ১৭ টি রাজ্যের প্রতিনিধিদের উপস্থিতিতে সাবানায়কন সেক্রেটারি জেনারেল নির্বাচিত হওয়ায় স্বভাবতঃই খুশি ইণ্ডিয়ান জার্নালিস্টস অ্যাসোসিয়েশন এর সদস্যরা। পূর্ব বর্ধমান, হুগলী, হাওড়া, নদীয়া সহ অন্যান্য জেলার সাংবাদিকরা তাঁকে অভিনন্দন জানিয়েছেন।
নতুন কমিটির সভাপতি নির্বাচিত হয়েছেন চন্ডীগড় থেকে বিনোদ কোহলি। সহ সভাপতি নির্বাচিত হয়েছেন তেলেঙ্গানা থেকে সৈয়দ ইসমাইল। সম্পাদক হয়েছেন। সেক্রেটারি নির্বাচিত হয়েছেন মহারাষ্ট্র থেকে নারায়ন পাঞ্চাল, আসাম থেকে রাতুল ভোড়া, তেলেঙ্গানা থেকে রাজামৌলি চারি। ট্রেজারার নির্বাচিত হয়েছেন ছত্রিশগড় থেকে নাথমল শর্মা। মোট ২১ জনের ন্যাশনাল এক্সিকিউটিভ কাউন্সিলে পশ্চিমবঙ্গ থেকে আইজেএ'র সহ-সভাপতি পূর্ব বর্ধমান জেলার বর্ষিয়ান সাংবাদিক তারকনাথ রায় নির্বাচিত হয়েছেন। এছাড়াও কমিটিতে রয়েছেন চন্ডীগড় - পাঞ্জাব নবীন শর্মা, তেলেঙ্গানা থেকে আমরি ভাস্কর, কেরালা থেকে কে সি সিমোন, বাবু থমাস ও অনিল বিশ্বাস, মহারাষ্ট্র থেকে কে রবি, আসাম থেকে জিতু কলিতা নির্বাচিত হয়েছেন।
এছাড়া সর্বভারতীয় সাংবাদিক সংগঠন আইজেইউ'র ন্যাশনাল কমিটিতে পশ্চিমবঙ্গ থেকে আরও ৪ জন স্থান পেয়েছেন। এদের মধ্যে রয়েছেন আইজেএ'র রাজ্য কমিটির সদস্য পূর্ব বর্ধমান জেলার সাংবাদিক জগন্নাথ ভৌমিক, হুগলী জেলার আদিত্য নারায়ন চৌধুরী, হাওড়ার শ্যামল নস্কর ও নদীয়া জেলার সুখেন্দু আচার্য। পশ্চিমবঙ্গ থেকে মোট ১৫ জন প্রতিনিধি সর্বভারতীয় এই সম্মেলনে অংশ নিয়েছিলেন। এর মধ্যে কমিটিতে স্থান পাওয়া পদাধিকারীরা ছাড়াও ছিলেন আইজেএ'র রাজ্য কমিটির সদস্য পূর্ব বর্ধমান জেলার সাংবাদিক আমিনুর রহমান, জয়ন্ত দত্ত, আইজেএ'র পূর্ব বর্ধমান জেলার সভাপতি স্বপন মুখার্জী সহ কার্যনির্বাহী কমিটির সহসভাপতি রামনারায়ণ কুন্ডু, সম্পাদক অতনু হাজরা ও কোষাধ্যক্ষ সেখ সামসুদ্দিন। হুগলী জেলার গোঁসাই চন্দ্র দাস, হাওড়ার রবীন চ্যাটার্জী এবং নদীয়া জেলার তারক দেবনাথ।
সম্মেলনে পশ্চিমবঙ্গের সকল প্রতিনিধিদের সুদৃশ্য মেমেন্টো দিয়ে সম্মানিত করে তেলেঙ্গানা ইউনিয়ন অফ ওয়ার্কিং জার্নালিস্ট। তাদের আতিথেয়তায় মুগ্ধ বিভিন্ন রাজ্যের সাংবাদিকরা। সম্মেলন শেষে ১১ জানুয়ারি তেলেঙ্গানা সরকারের ট্যুরিজম বিভাগের সহায়তায় টি ইউ ডব্লু জে সাংবাদিকদের সাইড সিন সহ শ্রী লক্ষ্মী নরসীমা স্বামী মন্দির ও চারমিনার তোরণ দেখানোর ব্যাবস্থা করেছিল। সব মিলিয়ে আইজেইউ'র দশম প্লেনারিতে অংশ নিয়ে বিভিন্ন রাজ্য থেকে আসা সাংবাদিকরা আপ্লুত। সকলেই বিশেষ ভাবে ধন্যবাদ জানিয়েছেন তেলেঙ্গানা ইউনিয়ন অফ ওয়ার্কিং জার্নালিস্ট এর জেনারেল সেক্রেটারি মারুতি সাগর সহ আভরি ভাস্কর ও অন্যান্যদের।
The National Executive Committee of IJU was formed, Vinod Kohli from Chandigarh as President and S Sabanayakan from West Bengal as Secretary General.
Bengal Times News : Eminent journalist S. Sabanayakan from West Bengal has been elected as the Secretary General of Indian Journalists Union. This is one of the biggest achievements and pride of Indian Journalists Association in its centenary year. It is noted that Mr. Sabanayakan is the present president of Indian Journalists' Association, the oldest journalists organization in India. The 10th All India Conference of IJU was held at the GMR Convention Center in the industrial city of Pathancheru, Hyderabad from January 8 to 10. Telangana Union of Working Journalists organized the conference. Telangana Government Home Minister Md. Mehmood Ali, Telangana State Media Academy Chairman Allam Narayana, senior leader of the IJU Suresh Aakuri, Vinod Kohali, S. Sabanaykon, veteran journalist Habib Khan, Sabina Indrajit, Telangana Union of Working Journalists General Secretary Maruti Sagar and other leaders were present at the inauguration. The overall management of the conference deserves praise. The members of the Indian Journalists Association are naturally happy as Sabanayakan was elected Secretary General in the presence of the representatives of 17 states in this conference of the All India Journalist Organization IJU. Journalists from Purba Bardhaman, Hooghly, Howrah, Nadia and other districts congratulated him.
Vinod Kohli from Chandigarh has been elected as the president of the new committee. Syed Ismail from Telangana was elected as the vice president. Secretary Narayan Panchal is elected from Maharashtra, Ratul Bhora from Assam, Rajamouli Chari from Telangana were elected as Secretary. Nathmal Sharma from Chhatrisgarh was elected as treasurer. IJA vice president Tarakanath Roy a veteran journalist of Purba Bardhaman district was elected as from West Bengal was elected National Executive Council member. Total number of 21 members elected to the committee. Naveen Sharma from Chandigarh - Punjab, Avvari Bhaskar from Telangana, KC Smijon, Babu Thomas and Anil Biswas from Kerala, K Ravi from Maharashtra, Jitu Kalita from Assam. Besides, 4 more Journalist from West Bengal have got place in the National Committee of All India Journalists Organization IJU. Among them are IJA state committee member. Journalist Jagannath Bhoumick of Purba Bardhaman district, Aditya Narayan Chowdhury of Hooghly district, Shyamal Naskar of Howrah and Sukhendu Acharya of Nadia district elected National committee members. A total of 15 delegates from West Bengal participated in this All India conference. IJA state committee members journalist Aminur Rahman, Jayant Dutta of Purba Bardhaman district, IJA Purba Bardhaman district president Swapan Mukherjee along with executive committee vice-president Ramnarayan Kundu, secretary Atnu Hazra and treasurer Sekh Samsuddin. Gonsai Chandra Das of Hooghly district, Rabin Chatterjee of Howrah and Tarak Debnath of Nadia district participated in this conference.
Telangana Union of Working Journalists honored all delegates in the conference with a lovely memento. Journalists from different states are impressed by their hospitality. At the end of the conference on January 11, with the help of Telangana Government's Tourism Department, TUWJ arranged for journalists to be shown the Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple and Charmina's Toran along with side scenes. All in all, journalists from different states participated in the 10th Plenary of IJU. All especially thanked General Secretary of Telangana Union of Working Journalists Maruti Sagar along with Avvari Bhaskar and others.
